Open a journey in Dashboard V2 and select Analytics to review message performance. This is separate from the journey’s History tab, which tracks donor journey history.
Read message history
Choose Sent, Delivered, Opened, Clicked, or Errored, then select All time, YTD, 12 months, 3 months, or 30 days.
The range selects messages by when they were sent, then reports what happened to those messages. For example, opening a message today that was sent before the selected window does not add it to that window. Charts use the returned date window and time zone; weekly grouping can extend the displayed start to a week boundary. All-time totals are unbounded, while the all-time chart uses a bounded display window.
A missing denominator produces an unavailable rate, not evidence of poor performance. Opens and clicks are tracked outcomes, not a count of every repeated interaction.
Compare messages
The message-comparison table shows all-time totals and rates by message. Click a column heading to sort. Changing the history date range does not filter this all-time comparison table.
Open/click rate indicators highlight values at least 20% above or below the journey’s aggregate rate. This is a relative comparison: against a 40% rate, the upper threshold is 48%, not 60%. These are comparison indicators, not statistical-significance tests; consider message volume and audience differences before drawing conclusions. A zero or unavailable baseline has no indicator.
What happens to removed messages?
The analytics population comes from message steps currently attached to the journey. A deleted message still referenced by a current step can retain its historical sends and appear as deleted. Removing the step changes that population; do not assume every message ever used in the journey is included in these new views.
To preserve a step’s identity and history when changing its content, edit the existing step rather than deleting and recreating it. See Preserving Message Performance Data and Finding Removed Messages. Last modified on October 30, 2026
