Overview

Emails and messages you send from WeGive are not logged in Salesforce. When WeGive sends a message to a supporter, no Task, Event, Email Message or other activity record is created on that supporter’s Salesforce Contact, so the send does not appear on the Contact’s activity timeline. This applies to both the standard Salesforce integration and the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud integration. It is not a setting you can turn on, and field mapping rules cannot add it.

What does sync for communications

The Salesforce integration syncs subscription state, not sent messages:
  • Communication lists, the lists you use to organize who receives which communications.
  • Communication preferences, whether each supporter is subscribed to a given list.
These sync according to your sync settings in Integrations > Salesforce > General Settings. See How the Salesforce Sync Works for how pull and push toggles control what moves between the two systems.

Where to find your send history

Message history stays in WeGive. Use the message and communication reporting in your WeGive dashboard, and the supporter’s record in WeGive, to see what was sent and to whom.

Want sent emails logged in Salesforce?

This is not currently available. If it would help your team, contact WeGive support and ask for it to be submitted as a feature request, describing how you would use it (for example, which Salesforce objects or reports you would want to see the sends in).
