Downloading a Per-Event Attendee List with Custom Question Answers

If you need a spreadsheet of everyone registered for a specific event — including their answers to any custom questions you added to the registration form (for example, dietary restrictions or t-shirt size) — download that event’s Registrations Report.

How to download it

  1. Go to Campaigns > Events and open the event.
  2. From the event page, open the more actions menu (the ”…” / download icon in the event header) and choose Registrations Report.
  3. The report is generated in the background. Once it’s ready, retrieve the file from Data > Exports.
The resulting CSV has one row per registration, with a separate column for each custom question on that event (answers appear in the matching cell for each row) alongside ticket type/quantity and payment columns. There’s no date restriction on this report — it’s available regardless of when the event or its registrations were created.

This is different from the organization-wide Data > Registrations export

WeGive also has a Data > Registrations export under your account’s general Data section. That export covers registrations across your whole organization, but it does not include any custom question answers — if your goal is an attendee list with custom-question data for one event, use that event’s own Registrations Report instead, not the org-wide Data > Registrations export.

Guest names aren’t captured per individual guest

Custom question answers (and the rest of a registration’s details) are recorded once per purchase, not once per ticket or seat. If someone buys 4 tickets to your event in a single checkout, the Registrations Report will have one row for that purchase with one set of answers — it won’t have 4 rows with 4 different attendee names or 4 sets of individual answers. If you need a distinct name (or other distinct detail) for each individual guest in a multi-ticket purchase, add a free-text custom question to your registration form (e.g. “Name of each additional guest”) and ask purchasers to fill it in themselves — there’s currently no automatic way to capture a separate identity per ticket within one purchase.
