# Updating Saved Integration Credentials

> Understand configured credential indicators, replace a saved secret, and explicitly remove a credential where supported.

Supported integration and processor settings show whether a credential is configured without returning the saved secret to the browser. You may see a saved-state indicator or the last four characters. The full saved credential is not available to reveal or copy from these editors.

## Keep or replace a credential

* To keep the existing value, leave its credential editor unchanged. Saving another setting does not require re-entering every secret.
* To replace it, choose the field's edit action, enter the replacement, and save.
* A blank input alongside a configured indicator does not mean the connection has no credential; the saved value is deliberately not loaded into the input.
* If the connection uses an authorization/reconnection flow instead of a credential editor, follow that integration's setup instructions.

## Remove a credential

Where the editor offers an explicit clear/remove action, use that action and save. Simply leaving a field blank is not the same as asking WeGive to delete the stored secret. Removing a required credential can leave the connection unable to authenticate.

Available fields and clear actions vary by integration. The configured/last-four indicators describe stored state; they do not prove the provider currently accepts the credential.

For an existing BYOK phone number, use [Edit Twilio credentials](https://docs.wegive.com/external/support/getting-started/adding-a-phone-number-for-sms.md#edit-credentials-for-an-existing-byok-number). That flow can retain the current token while verifying the account and number.
