# Printed Mail Sends vs Handwritten Mail Sends

> What the pricing-page distinction between 'Printed Mail Sends' and 'Handwritten Mail Sends' means, and how each is fulfilled.

# Printed Mail Sends vs Handwritten Mail Sends

WeGive's pricing page lists two mail send types under Engagement:

* **Printed Mail Sends** — starting at \$1 per send
* **Handwritten Mail Sends** — starting at \$3 per send

Both types of mail are fulfilled by the same physical card service. The difference is the **font style** you choose when designing your mail template:

* A **printed mail send** uses a standard, typed-look font (e.g. Arvo, Montserrat, or Roboto Slab). The card is still physically produced and mailed, but the text appears in a clean, printed typeface.
* A **handwritten mail send** uses a script-style font that mimics real handwriting (e.g. a cursive or casual hand style). These cards cost more because of the additional production complexity involved in reproducing a handwriting look.

There is no separate vendor or delivery method behind "printed mail" — both options produce a physical card sent through the postal mail. The cost difference reflects the card production tier, not a different service.

## Choosing a font style

When you create a mail template in WeGive's message builder, you select your preferred font from the available options. Your choice of font determines whether the send is billed at the printed or handwritten rate.
