# Installing the WeGive Salesforce Managed Package

> Install links, install steps, post-install configuration, and upgrade behavior for the WeGive4SF managed package

WeGive4SF is a second-generation managed package under the `wegive` namespace. Install it in your Salesforce org before connecting WeGive.

## Prerequisites

* Your org meets the [Setup Requirements](/external/onboarding/salesforce-npsp/setup-requirements)
* NPSP is installed and Enhanced Recurring Donations (RD2) is enabled
* You are logged in to the target org as a **System Administrator**

<Warning>
  Install in a Salesforce Sandbox connected to your WeGive Test dashboard first. Confirm the integration behaves as expected there, then repeat the installation in Production connected to your WeGive Live dashboard. The [Sandbox-First Implementation Guide](/external/onboarding/salesforce-npsp/install-setup/implementation-guide) walks the full sequence.
</Warning>

2. Confirm the integration user has field-level access to the fields listed under [Field-level security](/external/onboarding/salesforce-npsp/setup-requirements#field-level-security).

The package also includes a **WeGive Read Only** permission set for users who need to view WeGive records without editing them.

## Upgrades
