DonorDirect (StudioEnterprise) Overview

DonorDirect’s StudioEnterprise (SE) platform is a CRM used by ministries and nonprofits to manage constituents, gifts, recurring giving, and campaigns. WeGive’s DonorDirect integration provides bidirectional synchronization between your WeGive donation platform and your StudioEnterprise account.

Bidirectional Data Sync

  • Pull (StudioEnterprise → WeGive): accounts, funds, campaigns, gifts, and recurring giving plans import into WeGive on a regular schedule.
  • Push (WeGive → StudioEnterprise): donors, transactions, and recurring plans can be sent to StudioEnterprise as they occur in WeGive, when enabled.
  • Incremental sync: after the first full import, ongoing syncs only pull records that have changed, rather than rescanning your entire database each time.

How It Works

DonorDirect’s standard API is built for looking up one account at a time, which doesn’t scale to a full organization’s giving history. WeGive’s integration solves this with two different paths depending on direction:
  • Pull uses a set of custom, WeGive-authored data endpoints built specifically for bulk, incremental synchronization — these are read-only and built for your organization’s scale.
  • Push uses StudioEnterprise’s standard write API, since WeGive-authored endpoints are read-only by design.
